This means that you have the potential to graduate. Any course you are taking by module, whether it be here, PASS, REV online, MUST be 75% complete by April 30th. PowerSchool will show how much of the course you have completed and your grade. If you do not have 75% of the course completed, your name will not appear on the grad list.

2. School fees AND the grad fee MUST be paid.

Grad List Information:

There will be 2 grad lists posted. Your name must appear on the grad list to be to attend commencement (cap and gown ceremony). If you do not make the first list, you must make the second list, or you will not be allowed to attend commencement. YOU MUST HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO GRADUATE IN ORDER TO MAKE THIS LIST. If you are failing a course required for graduation you must get this grade to passing. (You must have all the required courses listed on page 1.)

What should I be doing NOW to make sure I graduate/make the grad list?

1. Check your number of credits earned so far. You should have around 75 credits earned to date.

2. Check the courses you are registered in to make sure you have the requirements listed above AND make sure you will have over 100 credits by the end of the year.

3. I am worried I don’t, what can I do? See Mr. Horpyniuk or Mrs. Page to go through your credits and schedule.

Valedictorian Criteria

Valedictorian Criteria

Austin O’Brien Valedictorian Criteria

 • Must have completed all 3 years of high school at AOB

 • Highest average of English 30-1, Social 30-1, Math 30-1/30-2, and 1 Science

(choose from Physics 30, Chemistry 30, Biology 30 or Science 30)

o Philosophy is that the valedictorian should be a strong academic representative in all areas from the graduating class.

o Math 30-2 is included because the course can be used as a University Entrance requirement into all faculties but      Engineering. 30-1 levels are required for all other core subjects.

o Math 31 is excluded on the basis of no diploma exam which also contributes to the exclusion of language courses and all options.

 • Averages to be used will be from the above courses using the blended S1 final mark with diploma result, as well as the mark in the respective courses that is 1 month from the Graduation Commencement Ceremony date
